Another BF group walk! The date is set for May 4th!
In the province of Rieti, right on the border between Abruzzo and Lazio, we find Nespolo . This town, located at about 900 meters above sea level, was once a border territory between the Vatican State and the Kingdom of Naples.
Recently, passionate hikers connected to the area have created a circular trail following the old boundary stones between the Vatican State and the Kingdom of Naples. We'll be joined by our geologist friend Pierpaolo, who is actively participating in this project to create new CAI trails called "Via del Grifone – Il Sentiero dei Cippi di Confine." The trail will begin where the giant bench was installed: the Big Bench Project.
After this excursion, our adventure will continue into the village of Nespolo to introduce you to a new farm producing craft beer. They'll welcome us into their cellar to taste the beer they'll be producing, show us the production process, and then tell us how their project will evolve!
After this aperitif we will return to the starting point and you can decide whether to say goodbye or stop for a lunch that we have organized at the Nespolo restaurant "La Forcella"

LET'S RECAP!
Where?
The meeting point is at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 4th, in Nespolo. The excursion and visit to the beer cellar will last approximately 4.5 hours. Breaks are included in the total time. For those without a car, we will find a way to organize it with the other participants.
What will we do?
- You will have the opportunity to take a relaxing walk in a very beautiful mountain area belonging to the Monte Navegna and Monte Cervia Nature Reserve.
- We'll hear the story of a couple who are starting a farm in Nespolo that will grow hops and produce craft beer!
- You'll get some physical activity! Which never hurts! It'll be a rewarding walk, both for muscle training and mental relaxation! The pace will be easy but effective. To give you an idea, we'll try to suggest a pace of around 4 km/h. It's not a race; you have every right to slow down and rest if necessary!
- You will meet people who are as passionate as you about nature and walking.
- You'll get advice from Daniela and Gabriele on how to best walk and get ideas for daily workouts in Rome's parks, which luckily are full of them!
