Another BF event for a group walk! A circular route through the beautiful Veio Park. The date is set for March 30th!
The walk will last approximately 4 hours (including breaks). It's a very pleasant walk, suitable for anyone with a good aptitude for walking! You don't need to be particularly fit , but you also don't need to be completely untrained after some walking training. The route is just over 11 km with a total elevation gain of approximately 200 m. The terrain is unpaved, typical of the Roman countryside, so a good pair of technical shoes with a lug sole is essential.

Along the way, we'll pass by archaeological sites such as Porta Capena and the Tomba Campana, and we'll visit the medieval village of Isola Farnese. The walk will take in the beautiful Roman countryside, and much of it will be along the Cremera River. This is also a stretch of the Via Francigena! Perfect for those preparing for a Camino... 😉

LET'S RECAP!
Where?
The meeting point is at 9:30 AM on Sunday, March 30th , in Isola Farnese and, as described above, will last approximately 4 hours. Breaks are included in the total time. For those arriving by public transportation, we can pick you up at the La Storta train station. In this case, the meeting point will be at 9:00 AM at the train station.
What will we do?
- You'll have the opportunity to take a beautiful walk in one of the most beautiful green areas near Rome, immersed in nature and history! Veio Regional Natural Park , with its 14,984 hectares, is the fourth largest park in Lazio.
- You'll get some physical activity! Which never hurts! It'll be a rewarding walk, both for muscle training and mental relaxation! The pace will be a bit brisk, but it's the same pace as everyone else. To give you an idea, we're aiming for a pace of around 4 km/h. It's not a race; you have every right to slow down and rest if necessary!
- You will meet people who are as passionate as you about nature and walking.
- You'll get advice from Daniela and Gabriele on how to best walk and get ideas for daily workouts in Rome's parks, which luckily are full of them!
HOW TO PARTICIPATE?
